A long time resident of Minneapolis, Kathie has been active in the local and state-wide textile community. She has served on the Textile Center Board of Directors, served as Co-President of the Minnesota Quilters, Inc. and served on numerous committees which have contributed to the vibrant textile arts community in Minnesota today. Kathie recently won an ‘Award of Excellence’ for Poppy Bower at the White Bear Center for the Arts 42nd Annual Northern Lights juried Art Exhibition in 2016.
